Rise & Grind with Wake Up Breck!

It’s that time of year – time to kick off the 60th ski and ride season at Breck! With opening day ready to roll on Friday, November 12, the annual community tradition Wake Up Breck will take place on Thursday, November 11. Who doesn’t love free coffee, free coffee mugs, free waffles and some community spirit?
It’s been 60 years of new lifts, new peaks, new experiences in the high alpine and we’re ready to celebrate with a FREE commemorative coffee mug, cup of joe and a waffle. Starting bright and early at 7:30 a.m., while supplies last, stop by the brand-new South Gondola Lot Parking Structure plaza to pick up your freebies! Then, take your mug to a one of the below coffee shops at anytime on Thursday, Nov. 11:
- Starbucks
- Clint’s Bakery & Coffee House
- Daylight Donuts
- The Coffee Depot at Main Street Station
- Cuppa Joe’s
- The Crown
- Cool River
The ribbon cutting of the new parking garage will happen at 7:30 a.m. with Town of Breckenridge Officials, Vail Resorts Representatives, and Representatives from Hyder Construction. This new parking destination will add approximately 400 incremental new parking spaces to the core of town, for a total of more than 950 parking spaces, 22 electric vehicle charging stations, two elevator locations, heated sidewalks, parking availability signage, and a restroom facility. And bonus – if you carpool with 4 or more people in your car, you get free midweek parking!
Don’t forget – you can also start your ski season with a bit of good karma by participating in EpicPromise’s ‘Cans for Coffee’ Drive. On behalf of Epic Promise, Breckenridge Ski Resort will be collecting cans of food and non-perishable items at the parking structure ribbon cutting during Wake Up Breck for donation to the Family & Intercultural Resource Center (FIRC) local food bank. Vail Resorts EpicPromise is committed to helping our resort communities thrive by partnering with critical local organizations to make an impact, and the ‘Cans for Coffee’ initiative offers a great and easy way to give back locally in Summit County.
So come get caffeinated for the day, meet some locals and give your barista a high-five. We promise the coffee buzz will keep you going until it’s time for happy hour. Once you’re charged up on caffeine, be sure to post your mug on social with the hashtag #60YearsofBreck.
