Family Friendly Apres
Family-Friendly Après Accessible for Children of All Ages
Here’s a little proof that you don’t have to give up on all the fun when you have children. It’s a lot of planning and prepping for a family vacation with children but nothing brings me more joy than exposing my little ones to the mountain passions that make me most happy. After a fun packed day for my husband and I on the mountain and the toddler in daycare or ski school everyone will be ready for the evening mountain magic that winter in Breckenridge holds.
Gondola Ride
After bundling up the family by dressing warm and wearing sturdy foot ware, we like to make our way down to main street by hopping aboard the Gondola at Peak 7 or 8 for a short but fun ride. Whether you’re a child or adult everyone will enjoy the scenery from the Gondola. Make it into a game by playing “I Spy” and searching for some of Breckenridge’s best wildlife such as foxes, moose, coyotes, pika, elk and many bird species.
Evening Alpenglow
Speaking of the gondola ride, experiencing the memorable and brilliant Colorado Alpenglow is a must while visiting Breckenridge in the winter and can be visible from the gondola or downtown. As the sky gets darker and the sun begins to set, a red glow on the Tenmile Range will captivate all.

Arcade and Pizza at Eric’s
I always recommend Downstairs At Eric’s for an Apres-ski family-friendly dinner destination. Plus, they have a newly renovated arcade that kids and adults will enjoy. Eric’s is right on main street and has incredible food and the space for families to have fun indoors. And I can’t forget to mention they have an elevator behind the entrance to their restaurant so stroller families can easily make their way downstairs.

Cocoa & Cookies at Clint’s
Save room for sweet treats and hot cocoa at Clint’s Bakery. I love this Breckenridge spot because it has a variety of goodies from brownies and cookies to pies and ice cream. If you’re vegan, don’t worry, they’ve got you covered with delicious ice creams and cupcakes! Nothing like a little sweet treat to bribe my kiddo. Make sure to ask for their seasonal items!

Twinkle Light Photos at Blue River Plaza
Finally, there is something special about ending the evening walking under the twinkle lights in Blue River Plaza with spectacular views of Breckenridge mountain in the background. Right down the street from Clint’s is Blue River Plaza. Walk with your hot cocoa and cookies in hand soak in the nostalgia of winter in the mountains.
Adventure can be accessible to anybody! A fun evening out exploring the mountain town magic of Breckenridge Colorado can be a meaningful way to connect as a family and create lasting memories for all. See you in Breckenridge!
