How to #WinAtWinter
Temperatures are dropping and spirits are rising.
Winning at winter is getting an early start to the season. Take advantage of this time of year. Score stellar lodging deals, beat the traffic to the mountain, and get your ski and ride legs ready for the rest of the season.
Break out your gear, wax your bases, sharpen those edges, get ready to #WinAtWinter.
Planning your first ski day of the season? Yep, same here. Early season is an incredible time to get out on the mountain. Build up those ski and ride legs, minimize the crowds and lines, score stellar deals on lodging (who needs traffic), and rely on Breck’s high elevation for early season snow storms.
Here are a few of the best ways to #WinAtWinter. I’m ready to seize the season. You coming?
DO
- Stay ahead of I-70 traffic, spend the night with early season lodging packages (Psst… book by Nov 1!)
- Tune up and tune out – a pre-season tune up is essential for jamming out on mountain
- Wake up and warm up – get your Wake Up Breck mug at coffee shops in town Thursday, Nov 8
- Grab another mug for your collection – join the Mug Club at The Maggie
- Celebrate the season in style – rock your best Opening Day outfit
- Carve some turns then go carve up the turkey
- French Fry? But I love pizza. Am I doing this right? I should go really back to school, Ski School
- Take the 4 O’Clock ski back trail to town. Can you make it from last chair to last call?
- Après just as hard as you ski, ’nuff said
- Share a six pack (SuperChair) with your best buds all day and a (craft brew) six pack with the locals at night
- Step up your winter hygiene – wake up, groom yourself, hit the groomers
- Hang with the crew – hit the kickers or kick back in the adirondacks at TenMile Station
- Make a splash – grab your snorkel and prepare for a spectacular season!
DON’T
- Don’t mix up your ski googles and your beer goggles
- Don’t catch the sniffles, catch big air
- Don’t host your own yard sale, but be sure to help your neighbor with theirs!
If you need me, I’ll be “knee deep in the powder somewhere, got the blue sky breeze blowing wind through my hair”.
See ya on the slopes!
