3 Lines You Can Skip at Breck

Pop quiz: would you rather spend the first hours of your Breckenridge vacation waiting in line for tickets, gear, or lifts? Or would you rather be on the slopes?  No one wants to waste time in line. And at Breck, you don’t need to. Here are three lines you can skip on your next Breck vacation.

The Lift Ticket Line

Ticket counters are so 2004. Purchasing your Breck lift ticket (Epic Day Lift Ticket) in advance online, guarantees the lowest price and the easiest, quickest transaction. Buy your Epic Day Lift Ticket seven days or more in advance, and Breck will mail it to you. Coming to visit in less than a week? Purchase your ticket online for the best rates and pick up your Epic Day Card at any Epic Day Express window (bring a picture ID and the credit card used for the purchase). Want another reason to buy online and in advance? Big savings. Online prices are guaranteed to be the lowest you’ll find, with savings of up to 25 percent of the window price.

The Rental Line

Hanging out in your socks at the gear shop waiting for techs to find you rentals that fit used to be a rite of ski vacation passage. No more. Now you can reserve your rental equipment in advance at rentskis.com and have the latest equipment—freshly waxed and tuned—waiting for you when you show up at one of seven slopeside locations. Oh yeah—renting your equipment online also comes with a discount from the in-shop prices. It’s convenient, efficient, and guaranteed to get you on the mountain as early as you want.

The Lift Line

Some people devote their lives to trying to cut lift lines; many of them are ski bums whose hacks include skiing mid-week, riding the single’s line, and trying to bribe lifties. Others simply take private lessons.  We recommend the latter. A private lesson allows  you to skip lines and discover the best terrain for your ability while getting world-class instruction. Not that “private” does not necessarily mean “solo.” Family private lessons pair parents and kids with an instructor for half- and full-day sessions. Parents can watch kiddos progress (and pick up a few tips for their own riding and for coaching the kids). Adult and child private lessons are available for half and full days for up to three people; additional people can be added for a fee. Definitely consider this option when you want to optimize riding and together time. Want to skip the lines and also the instruction? Hire a private guide from Breck’s Elevate package to discover the secret stashes while always skipping to the front of the lift line.
