Most Romantic Spots in Breck

Breck is home to some world class skiing, mountain biking, and all around high adrenaline adventuring; however, Breck also hosts some pretty romantic spots to get all lovey-dovey. The air might be thin at this high altitude, but there is definitely lots of love in the air. Here are some of our favorite spots and ways to set the mood:
Bench on Carter Park
Sometimes the simplest places can be the most romantic. Grab a hot chocolate from Clint’s or any of the coffee shops in town (or just grab a bottle of wine), and head to Carter Park at the end of High Street. Halfway up the long set of stairs, you will find a little wooden bench. Cozy up with your partner and take in the majestic view of the resort, ideally around sunset if you can. Breck’s ridgeline is regularly illuminated by beautiful colors as the sun goes down!
Sapphire Point
Jump in the car, and head up Swan Mountain Road to a locals favorite romantic spot, Sapphire Point. A few miles up the road you will find a parking lot. Leave your car there, grab your partner’s hand and take a short snowy stroll to fantastic views. Many choose to have their engagements and weddings at this beautiful spot.
Stroll Main Street
Breck’s Main Street is beautiful, be it in the summer with flowers lining the streets, or in winter with string lights outlining buildings and trees. Grab your loved one’s hand and stroll around Breck’s historic district to take in the lovely atmosphere. Nothing says romance like wine, cheese, and chocolate, so head to Ridge Street Wine shop for a luxurious, selection of global wines and artisan cheeses and chocolates from small producers. While in town maybe swing by Ole Man Berkins Bookstore to browse the extensive collection and maybe pick up a vintage copy of a classic book. Another spot worth checking out is Molly B, a boutique Lingerie shop in Main Street Station, Breckenridge. They sell women’s intimate apparel and sleepwear, and their aim is to combine beauty and confidence to empower every woman. Take your time and wander into all the fun locally owned shops that line Main Street.
Romantic Night at Home
My favorite romantic night in winter is a simple one at home, cozy by the fireplace. Head into town to grab some dinner – almost all restaurants in town offer carry-out options. Ridge Street Kitchen is a great place to pick up a top quality dinner, and you don’t have to bother with cooking and cleanup and can focus on your loved one. Share the peaceful, romantic night by the fireplace with someone you care about
Fancy Dinner Out
You can’t go wrong with a fancy dinner out! Breck has dozens of delicious restaurants, here are a few of my favorite places to share a tête-à-tête meal:
Hearthstone – one of the classic Breck dinner date restaurants. The ambiance is romantic, and the food tastes deliciously luxurious. It is located in a beautiful historical Victorian styled building with spectacular views of the slopes. The mood is set by candlelight and the fare features naturally raised beef & game, sustainably caught seafood, and local Colorado produce in season.
Relish – Another excellent fine dining option in Breck, Relish features the freshest ingredients in Colorado inspired cuisine. Head upstairs above the Blue River Plaza for a clean and modern feel with your loved one. And share a Baked Alaska for dessert!
Le Petit Paris Bistro – Two wonderful French women run this dimly lit, romantic restaurant that features classic French dishes with a contemporary twist. The service is excellent- you and your date will feel extremely pampered.
