Welcome to Breck

Terrain Updates

Jan 15, 2017

More terrain under the Horseshoe Bowl T-bar has opened since your last update – including Horseshoe Bowl itself.

Drum roll please… Peak 6 is now open! I repeat, Peak 6 now open! Thanks to the weekend snow, Breck now has terrain on all five Peaks open. This means OVER 100 trails and 1,900 acres open for skiing and riding across Peaks 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10.

The hike to terrain on Peak 6 is not currently open, so keep that spirit from Ullr Fest going to help bring more snow. As always, respect terrain closures and let patrol safely open new terrain for you to enjoy.

All of our Mountain Ops teams are hard at work day and night to get terrain accessed by Imperial Express SuperChair open soon. Stay tuned for more updates.

See ya on the slopes!

I’m back with your terrain update! In case you somehow missed it… Ullr and Mother Nature delivered the best holiday gifts with over 30 inches of snow the week of Christmas. Check it out.

Over 80 trails and 1,400 acres of terrain are open across Peaks 7, 8, 9, and 10. Here’s a look at the Christmas Eve powder, where Ski Patrol worked to open Rounders on Peak 8 by the early afternoon.

More exciting news includes the opening of Falcon SuperChair on Dec 28 as a brand new lift. The Falcon was upgraded from a four seater to a six pack, increasing uphill capacity and speed so you can fit more laps into your days.

Horseshoe Bowl T-Bar is open providing the first access of the season to our High Alpine terrain. Horseshoe and Contest Bowls, here I come!

Snow making continues across Peaks 9 and 10, while Breck Ski Patrol and all Mountain Ops teams are hard at work to open terrain on Peak 6. Dates aren’t set for future openings, but additional terrain will open as soon as it’s deemed ready and safe for guests.

Food & Beverage Options:

All on-mountain locations dining options are open:
The Ski Hill Grill & Coffee Bar, T-Bar, Living Room, Vista Haus, Sevens, Pioneer Crossing, The Overlook Grill, The Maggie, and Ten Mile Station, including the new Candy Corner!

Last but certainly not least, BE SAFE.

Remember that early season conditions still exist, especially on terrain that has opened with natural snow. For the safety of all guests, skiers and snowboarders are required to observe all posted signs and warnings, and to keep off closed trails and out of closed areas.

Happy New Year my snowsport enthusiasts! See ya on the slopes!
