Thanksgiving Weekend Terrain Update

fullsizeoutput_155Hello my name is Brent and I will be Breckenridge’s Snow Reporter for the 2016/2017 season. Hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving. On Thanksgiving I went up the mountain to make a few runs. Conditions were great after the dusting we had received late Wednesday night.

Over the course of the season I will be bringing you stories that revolve around this amazing mountain and town. Today I have a terrain access update for you.

Yesterday, Black Friday, the Quicksilver SuperChair opened, providing access to Silverthorne trail. Peak 8 SuperConnect and Snowflake lifts started spinning connecting Peaks 8 and 9. With the terrain opening up on Peak 9, the rest of the weekend will be a good time to come get your legs back for the winter.

Today is forecast to be sunny with highs in the low to mid 40’s, so make sure to apply sunscreen. If we look a little bit farther out in the forecast there is a chance for snow tonight night through Tuesday with temps predicted to be in the 20’s to low 30’s, don’t forget your layers if you will be visiting then.

If you see me around the mountain feel free to stop me and say hello. I hope everyone has a great season.
