Welcome to Breck

Spring snow this morning

Just a little bit of fresh, spring snow to make the morning bright!

Breckenridge received seven inches of unprecedented snow last night to top off a record breaking month of skiing and riding. Overall, Breck has received 94 inches of snow in March, and it’s easy to see why no one is thinking of warmer weather quite yet.

Pleasantly, the clouds parted from the TenMile Range as the sun was rising this morning, giving the snow message team access to some upper mountain shots not normally possible in the thick of a storm. As this was the case, we headed over to the Kensho SuperChair to shoot our first Peak 6 video of the season. Wind had moved the snow around somewhat, but there were fresh lines to be found in Bliss, Reverie and Daydream. We were also able to get some of the first lines in Intuition today, were the skiing was smooth and the turns were abundant.

Some beautiful weather approaches for the weekend, when we will be kicking off our brand new spring park competition, The Mtn Dew Spring Open. Amateurs and pros, skiers and boarders alike will compete together in a jump line throwdown this Saturday from 10am-2pm in Park Lane. The comp is open and registration is still open on breckenridge.com

Whether you come to watch our studs and studettes huck it up in the park, or dance your face off at Bud Light Concert Series, you’ll want to be here for all the Spring Fever festivities until our closing day, April 24!
