Spring Fever Events April 11 – 17

What a few amazing Spring Fever Weeks we’ve had! From park competitions, the Breck Chili Cook Off, and Michael Franti performing at the Bud Light Concert Series things have been jam pack, but we still have more fun on the way!

On to this week’s events: Breck Spring Fever events continue to delight guests and locals alike! This week will bring talent to the Peak 8 stage with performances by Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real on April 16 and Trombone Shorty on April 17. We can’t wait to check them out. In addition, the final Breck Ascent series is this week, complete with a celebratory after party.

Breck Ascent Series Final Race

Wednesday, April 13

This is the final race of the 2015-2016 Breck Ascent Series with an after party to follow! Take on a different kind of challenge this spring with the Annual Breckenridge Ascent Series, presented by Breckenridge Ski Resort and the Breckenridge Recreation Department. Join us for the final hill climb event; use any kind of way to get up the mountain, but skis or a snowboard are required to come back down! Cost: $22 same day registration/$20 pre-registration, call 970-453-1734 for registration and details.

Spring Fever Park Jam3

Friday, April 15

Join us on Friday afternoons during Spring Fever, where we’ll be running the Spring Fever Park Jams in Freeway and Park Lane! Get access to some great spring park laps – plus music and free hot dogs! We’ll be hosting jam style contests where we’ll be giving away season passes, GoPros and a bunch of other great prizes. Test out your skills and get ready for some fun in the sun!

Fever Reliever Main Street Merchant Discounts

Date: April 15-17, 2016
The Breckenridge Retail Merchants will hold their annual “Fever Reliever” shopping special! Guests and locals are encouraged to shop Main and Ridge Street Merchants and ask for the “Fever Reliever” discount at stores with the Spring Fever logo in their window! Each merchant has planned a special “Fever Reliever” ranging from gifts with purchase to grab bag gifts and discounts.

Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real 

Saturday, April 16

Lukas Nelson first picked up a guitar at the age of 11 and practiced his craft by playing along to classic Stevie Ray Vaughn and Jimi Hendrix songs. The son of music legend Willie Nelson, Lukas Nelson and Promise of the Real electrify fans year-round with performances across the country, while also backing for the Neil Young band. Their cowboy, beach-hippy vibe meshes with a gritty rock and roll feel that creates a high-energy and infectious live set. At the heart of Lukas Nelson and Promise of the Real is their undying passion of Rock n Roll that speaks from the heart.

Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue

New Orleans native Trombone Shorty is the bandleader and frontman in the hard-edged funk band, Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue. He began playing professionally at the age of five, and now Trombone Shorty and his band tour internationally with their unique style that employs rock dynamics, a hip-hop beat and improvisation in a jazz tradition. The group’s musical talents are best showcased during live performance, where NOLA jazz heritage is paired with modern funk to delight fans everywhere. We can’t wait to hear which songs he’ll perform on the Peak 8 stage.
