Ullr Keeps the Powder coming!
The powder just keeps coming this week, in what has become the best storm of the season. In a truly unprecedented display of nature, Ullr dropped 11 more inches of fresh on the mountain last night, increasing the total to 39 inches in the last 7 days! Four more inches fell today during the day, so we are at 43 inches for this week. Killer!
Honestly, today was one of the best days I have filmed a video in Breck since starting in 2013. The powder was absolutely stacked from the previous days of snow, and the snow that came down last night had the perfect Colorado consistency; fine grain champagne snow that carved effortlessly. The four inches that fell during the morning hours ensured each run was reset and there was not a spot of the mountain devoid of powder. The snow message team shot this video on the 6 Chair terrain, definitely some of the deepest on the mountain.
A note to all guests, T-bar is closed for repair, and will remain closed until noon tomorrow. However, theres more than enough snow to go around off the Kensho SuperChair on Peak 6, the Imperial Lift on Peak 8, and way out on the Peak 10 terrain.
With endless fresh turns you don’t want to miss out. Grab your gear, grab your friends and head to Breck. The snow will be awesome all weekend long, and we are even looking at another storm cycle coming in next week…
