Tips Up! Fine tune your skills on the groomers

Do you love skiing the groomers? We do too, but we know there’s always room for improvement. Also, getting really comfortable on the groomers is the best way to advance your skiing. Lucky for us, Mike Hafer with the Breckenridge Ski and Snowboard School is here to help. He gives some straightforward advice to making flawless turns on the groomed runs at Breckenridge.

Mike details in the above video how to make those great carved turns. “Let’s look at the top of the boot as a steering wheel to carving. Let’s push forward on the front of the boot and to the inside to carve the ski. In addition, you want to be progressive with the movement patterns so therefore you never get locked in to one turn or one turn size and shape.”

Thanks for the great tips, Mike! Taking a lesson from the talented Breckenridge Ski and Ride instructors is a great way to advance your skills on the mountain, no matter your skill level. Book a session for your next day at Breckenridge Ski Resort.
