Welcome to Breck

Claimjumper morning conditions

Today started off with a glorious sunrise, waking up the mountain with orange and red bursts of colorful sky. Breck’s talented grooming team took a snapshot this morning from the base of the T bar.

T bar sunriseI ventured a bit further towards Peak 7 to the Claimjumper run to check the conditions. The wind was calm and the snow was soft and freshly groomed. The sun peeked through the partly cloudy skies, as more clouds are expected to roll in for snow accumulation this afternoon. There was the slightest bit of snow falling, barely visible except when glinting in the sun.

Claimjumper is a fan favorite and an exciting blue run packed with rolling hills and great views. It’s also convenient for venturing to either Peak 7 or 8 as it feeds to both base areas.

This afternoon’s weather system is expected to bring up to six inches of snow to Breckenridge with even more accumulation on the higher mountain elevations. Be sure to follow our Facebook and Twitter as the snow arrives.
