Here’s a little secret…

One of the most frequent questions we get at Breck has to be, “When is the best time to visit?” This is a tough one, as there is always something happening at the mountain, in town, or with the weather bringing us something nice. Without a doubt though, if powder is your ultimate objective, then February is the month you want to be here.

All the shots in this piece were filmed in February from the 13-14 season onward, and as you can see they are some of the best we’ve shot at the resort. After crunching the numbers we can confirm February as Breck’s snowiest month; averaging about 71.25 inches over the past four season. Powder hounds rejoice, your time to shine is rapidly approaching.

Here’s another tip about February. Many people assume that with spring breaks happening scholastically all across the country that this month is actually one of our busiest, but that is certainly not the case. In fact, that mentality usually leads to more openings at the resort in early February than during the rest of the entire season.
