Welcome to Breck

Ullr delivers 7 inches of new snow

Breckenridge called and Ullr delivered: 7 inches of the fluffy stuff fell in the last 24 hours, with even more falling this morning and afternoon. We headed up Spruce to get an early run in and tackle some of that untouched powder. Buttery turns on the fresh powder made this run extra fun.

If you’re conquering the mountain today, make sure to bundle up with extra layers. There’s over 2,700 skiable acres to explore today with 174 open runs. You can check the status of openings at our terrain page. The mountain is opening up very nicely as well as safely, thanks to Breckenridge’s Ski Patrol. It’s also  Safety Weekend here at Breck, and there’s lots of way to get involved, as well as score free food and prizes! Don’t miss the opportunity to learn mountain safety from Breck’s Ski Patrol members and the Breckenridge Avalanche Dogs. You can learn more and get the full schedule of events here.

If you’re craving fresh snow and weren’t able to make it out today, don’t worry: more snow is in the forecast for tonight and tomorrow as well! You can expect another 2 to 4 inches tonight and 3 to 6 inches tomorrow during the day, so there’s still chances to get your snow fix in before the weekend concludes. For all you powder hounds out there,  visiting Breck in February is a great idea if you’re looking for even more of the fluffy stuff. Did you know last year in Breck, it snowed 66 inches just in February? It was the snowiest month of 2015 and this February should be no exception for some great snow. There’s also still time to book lodging and score deals, so visit our site to reserve your perfect spot.
