Sunny and light snow conditions on Peak 9

Conditions this Wednesday morning at Breckenridge Ski Resort feature light snow and partly sunny skies, with snow in the forecast for later today. I headed over to Peak 9 to explore runs I haven’t visited in some time. I took Cashier all the way down to the Ten Mile Station. From there, I took Red Rover to the Peak 8 SuperConnect.back to Peak 8.

Terrain all the way down Peak 9 was groomed with soft snow layered on top. Light snow cascaded over my skis as I linked turns. The sun was shining through the few clouds that peppered the sky. Skiing Breck is really the best way to start the day.

I passed the Falcon super chair on my way down the mountain. For those of you who don’t know about the Falcon SuperChair, this lift brings you to Peak 10’s black diamond or double black diamond runs. If you’re an expert skier, this is your peak! The Faclon SuperChair has recently opened and all of us at Breckenridge Ski Resort are excited to explore the Peak 10 terrain.

It’s a good idea to bundle up today (as well for the rest of the week) if you are heading out on the mountain. The sun will be plentiful this Holiday week with mostly sunny skies forecasted through Sunday as with a chance of snow daytime Thursday. Do your snow dances as we await even more snow in Breckenridge.
