Santa delivers 12 inches of snow in 24 hours to Breck

Santa made an early delivery to Breck today. Instead of toys and treats his bag was filled with the best holiday gift skiers and riders could ask for – flakes and flurries. Breck received 12 inches of snow in the last 24 hours. This brings us to a total snowfall of 21 inches in the last seven days. With more snow in the forecast it looks like gifts will keep coming through the holiday weekend.

While the whole mountain is sure to be skiing well after the foot of fresh we found great turns this morning on easy to access Spruce on Peak 8. From there the snow message crew was ready to explore some trees. The trees off Northstar did not disappoint. With a few moguls, deep pockets, and snow it was a playful run. We were all grinning from ear to ear.

After a fun tree run we headed up the T-Bar and enjoyed fresh lines in North Bowl. If you’re looking to explore the upper mountain terrain look no further than the bowls off of the T-Bar. You’re sure to find deep, buttery turns, and plenty of snow in the gullies of North Bowl.

This is video is just a glimpse of the great snow conditions right now here at Breck. We have over 1,800 acres and 112 runs open. We have lots of terrain on all five peaks open for you to enjoy.
