Welcome to Breck

Big snow hits Breck

The snow is plentiful here at Breckenridge Ski Resort, as a foot of the good stuff fell in the last 24 hours! I wanted to give you a glimpse into the wonderful conditions at Breckenridge on this snowy Wednesday before Christmas.
I loaded the Colorado SiperChair this morning in search of powder runs on Peak 8, and let me tell you – that wasn’t’ hard to do! I headed down Springmeier to Crescendo, which lent an incredible, powdery run.

I glided through the powder, taking in the snow-covered scenery of Peak 8. Nothing beats a foot of fresh snow and an early morning run on the mountain. The snow was still falling as I ended my run at the base of Peak 8, and I headed into Ski Hill Grill for a hot cocoa. Be sure to bundle up today as you head out for some mountain fun, and don’t forget your face protector.

Dogs love new snow as much as people do, so I stopped into the ski patrol hut at the Vista Haus before heading on my run. The ski patrol dogs loved all the fresh snow, and enjoy jumping into pockets of deep snow to play fetch.

More snow is on the way! There’s 1 to 3 inches slated for tonight, with a chance of snow tomorrow morning and 1 to 3 inches likely for tomorrow evening. Be sure to check our terrain page for the latest updates before your mountain excursion.
