Visit the Stephen C. West Ice Arena in Breckenridge on Christmas Eve for a family fun activity on the ice! Just a short drive from the downtown area on Boreas Pass Road, this ice arena boasts a NHL size-rink with a full-service pro shop. It’s just $8 for adult public skate and $6 for youth public skate.

Play around Christmas Day

Breckenridge backstage theater bring “A Christmas Story’ to life this holiday season at the Riverwalk Center for all to enjoy. This classic story follows 9-year old Ralphie Parker and his quest for a Red Ryder BB gun. The audience will experience Ralphie’s imagination on his adventure in which he is warned ‘you’ll shoot your eye out!’ It’s the perfect combination of holiday cheer and family-friendly humor. You can catch this performance through December, and even on Christmas Day at 6:00 pm. Find tickets here.

Paint the town Dec. 26

Are you ready to paint your own artwork? The canvas party paint at ReadyPaintFire on Dec. 26 will bring out your inner artist in their lively studio in downtown Breckenridge. Join local artist Nancy Branca for a night of artistic inspiration and watercolor tutorial. You can sign up on their website. The cost for the evening is $35 and all supplies are included.

Make mountain memories

Come back with a photo of the whole crew on the mountain. There’s EpixMix photographers all around the ski area, just waiting to take your photo. They are typically stationed right as you unload from the lift – they make sure to get great views are in the background!

Ring in the New Year with lots of light

As we close in on 2015, New Year’s Eve in Breckenridge is a time to treasure. While you’re in downtown enjoying NYE festivities, watch the Breckenridge firework show light up the night sky from Main Street. If it’s anything like last year, you won’t want to miss out.
