Welcome to Breck

Beat the Monday blues at Breck

With three inches of snow in the last 24 hours (with two of those falling overnight) Breckenridge Ski Resort is covered in powder. There are currently nine lifts, 31 runs and 561 acres open over two peaks. We couldn’t help but take an early run and experience the powder on Peak 8. Come out and beat the Monday blues at Breckenridge with some fresh powder and great runs.

Monday’s run down Springmeier is exceptional, with soft, groomed terrain all the way down the run. Conditions are slightly breezy, with snow still coming down as of morning time. Snow is forecasted to continue in the afternoon, mainly after 1 pm. There’s a west northwest wind of 6 to 13 mph, and the total snow accumulation forecast for the day is slated from 1 to 3 inches. Bundle up today, and make sure to bring your sunglasses!

You’ll likely be hungry after skiing in all the fresh powder, so stop by Ski Hill Grill Smoke House for a delicious barbecue lunch at the base of Peak 8. The Smoke House’s brisket sandwich will warm you up and give you some good energy to get back on the mountain. The Smoke House also offers smoked pork shoulder, half chickens smokes and grilled as well as some specialty sides of house made cole slaw, cheddar biscuits and smoked black beans.

Skiing in the Rockies is not only a great experience to discover solo, but a fun trip to take with family or friends. Breckenridge is the place within the Rockies to gain the complete ski and snowboard experience. Book your next trip and learn all Breckenridge has to offer. The town of Breckenridge is a reason to go in itself, as there’s so much to do in addition to skiing and snowboarding. With seemingly countless restaurants, bars, cafes and shops, you’ll be entertained well after last run.
