Sunny skies and classic runs on Peak 8
Conditions on the chair up to Peak 8 were good, with a slight breeze, mostly sunny skies and temperatures in the mid 30’s. Skiers and snowboarders alike were itching to get to the mountain this morning, cheering when the lifts opened at 9 a.m. Terrain conditions on Peak 8 are great – runs are smooth and groomed while the recent snowfall left behind some nice powder.
With yesterday’s debut of Peak 9, skiers and boarders had more variety and trails to traverse. If you haven’t gotten a chance to check out Peak 9, it is highly recommended, along with Silverthorne and King’s Way trails. We can’t wait to explore more mountain terrain, so stay tuned for more openings as they become available.
As for the weather forecast this week, it’ll be hard to beat if you like sunshine. Prepare for more blue bird days through Wednesday, with Thursday bringing a chance of snow showers. There’s a slight chance of snow Friday, with skies clearing up for the afternoon.
