Peak 9 Opens Saturday
Trail openings include Silverthorne and King’s Way via the QuickSilver SuperChair. Crosscut and Lower Sawmill trails make commuting to between peaks 8 and 9 a breeze via the Peak 8 SuperConnect. There was a buzz on the mountain today as skiers and boarders experienced Peak 9 runs and new terrain. Conditions were great with clear skies and warm sunshine, especially from the top of Peak 8.
Snow School was in full effect with students gaining skills after taking the QuickSilver SuperChair to the Silverthorne run. Advanced skiers and riders took advantage of fresh powder from the overnight snowfall, making for a perfect morning on the mountain.
After 21 inches of snow in the past week – including 4 inches in the last 24 hours – the snow is extra soft and the riding is easy. Get ready for more sunny days on the mountain, as Sunday through Tuesday will be sunny in the mornings with a chance of even more snow Wednesday. We can’t wait for more terrain openings, so stay tuned as they become available.
