Welcome to Breck

Thank you for an amazing season! [video]

It is with heavy hearts that we must once again bid farewell to winter, and Breckenridge’s slopes. The 2014-2015 ski season was jammed packed with snow, events, sun and happy people. Take a look at the above video for a refresher on just how much fun we had in the past year.

The first snow of the year occurred on October 2nd, and from there picked up fantastically for the early season powder hounds. Opening day offered great snow to our guests, and that first weekend a storm rolled in setting up the perfect conditions to open the rest of the mountain. Peaks 10 and 6 opened before Christmas amongst the intensity of the Dew Tour event in December. Christmas itself brought our snowiest storm, with 29 inches falling in 48 hours. January and the beginning of February received smaller, but consistent snow storms, setting up spring time for sunny days and good conditions. One of the most exciting periods of this past season was Women’s Ski Week in late February in which mountain girls of all ages got together to ski and make memories with like-minded females. Spring Fever was here before you could blink an eye; the GoPro Big Mountain Challenge, Throwback Throwdown, Easter and the concerts were all amazing times to celebrate the season, and left us with the bittersweet thought that next winter is only a few short months away.

We at Breckenridge would like to thank each and every one of our guests for an truly amazing 2014-2015 ski season. We can’t stop reminiscing over the powder and incredible days we had this past year, and can not wait to see you guys on the hill come next November.

Don’t hold back any of your excitement. Start planning your trip for next season!

  1. I was sad making my last run on closing day, but after the lift operator said, "Have a nice summer," I felt better.
