Welcome to Breck

Brunch in Breck

The ski season at Breckenridge is winding down and weekends are about to be a little less “hurry and get first chair” and a little more “let’s chill over a long brunch.”

Put these Breck brunch masters on your mud season hit list:

The Crown Cafe Tavern in BreckThe Crown

The recently remodeled coffee bar and lounge boasts a shiny new kitchen and delicious expanded (and extremely affordable) menu. Keep it casual with Crown cappuccinos and salted caramel cinnamon rolls. Or try their chorizo breakfast burrito. For a light wholesome bite, order the Texas toast topped with goat cheese, avocado, tomato, black pepper and sea salt.

Sevens

Take the gondola to breakfast and enjoy your eggs on a sprawling deck with a side of stunning mountain views. An upscale mountain bistro inside the Grand Lodge, Sevens sits at the base of Peak 7 at 10,010 feet and serves up from-scratch breakfast classics and benedicts, along with fun dishes like Captain Crunch encrusted French toast.

Outdoor seating available

Blue River Bistro

Locals love the Bistro for its handcrafted martinis and jazz happy hours, but on Sundays the popular hangout becomes a peaceful brunch nook with one of the most extensive menus in town. Try the mahi mahi sliders and then indulge in the sirloin and eggs, the salmon BLT with gruyere and roasted red pepper aioli, or the farmer’s market omelet.

Park and Main

If you love pancakes, you’ll worship Park and Main. The flawlessly puffy cakes are perfect straight up, but you can take them to the next level with fresh blueberries, granola or bananas. Craving something savory? Order the roast beef chimichurri with fontina and pickled onion or Taylor Pork roll with fried egg, American cheese and Taylor Pork.

Outdoor seating available

The Warming Hut

Nestled in a cozy, charmingly restored historic Main Street home, the Warming Hut does Sunday brunch right. Bottomless mimosas are just $10 and the menu is packed with farm-fresh dishes made to order. Try the Hut Bennie on toasted rosemary ciabatta with thick ham, bacon and spinach. Choosing a side can be tricky. Sweet potato fries, crispy tots, a gooey three-cheese (goat, white cheddar and parm) mac n cheese – they’re all tasty.

Amazing Grace Best in BreckAmazing Grace

Just off Main Street in a smallish quirky yellow house, Amazing Grace Natural Eatery whips up healthy, organic and regionally sourced goodies. Treat yourself to their homemade granola, flaky buttermilk biscuits, or gluten-free breakfast tacos (served til 3pm).
