9 fresh inches of snow for the start of April [video]

Oh boy, what a day. After receiving a completely unexpected nine inches of fresh snow last night, we can officially say that spring powder is back in the rockies. A sunny, deep snow morning was exactly was we needed to usher in Spring Fever, and the many activities that come along with that.

The snow message team was up on North Bowl early this morning, and soft, champagne like snow was abundant in all areas. Some wind drifts presented waist deep pile-ups, that were an absolute blast to bust through. We shot this video mostly on Pika and Forget-me-Not, but everything in between was as good or better. It’s not every day that you get fresh snow, warm temps and clear skies, but today all three marks were hit. Honestly, skiing and riding doesn’t get much better than this.
