Welcome to Breck

Another seven inches for Mardi Gras

Happy Fat Tuesday everyone! Today, Breckenridge reported another seven inches in the past 24 hours, making 14 inches of fresh snow in the past two days. While Mardi Gras is reason enough to party, those on the mountain today were extra excited to see more new snowy terrain.

While a little overcast this morning, today has shaped up to be a gorgeous day. End of storm flurries peppered the terrain until about noon, keeping all trails at their best condition. The snow message team shot up the Colorado SuperChair and headed right over to “Tiger” for the first run. The trail featured soft, snow covered moguls and beautiful early morning light. After a trip up the Peak 8 SuperConnect, the team ventured to the T-Bar, where they had a few laps in the North Bowl once again. Today, the runs of choice were Pika and Ptarmigan, where snow was found piled up within the trees. The snow message team had a great time on this terrain, and recommend others head that way ASAP. That being said; absolutely all the terrain at Breck is top-notch with the new snow, so don’t be afraid to explore an area you’ve never been, or rediscover one of your favorite peaks.
