Fresh snow this morning and still coming down
Powder day! Tuesday, February 16 turned out to be one of the snowiest days of the season, with seven inches reported this morning falling in the last 24 hours. The snow was still coming down when the snow message team started the day, and it continued until the resort closed it’s doors for the night.
While seven inches was reported at 6am, it started dumping in the early morning hours, with a few inches falling per hour. When the lifts opened, Breck skiers and riders were surprised to be skiing what honestly felt more like a foot of snow! Local legends DJ DC and Nate Dogggg would absolutely agree, and were thrilled to head up the T-bar for some deep and incredibly soft laps on North Bowl. Most of the footage you see in this video was collected on “Forget Me Not”, the farthest-out run on the North Bowl, but the team also started on Spruce for a refresher in ripping powder. All in all, the fresh snow made for an amazing day on the mountain, as could be seen in everyone’s content faces.
The snow is still coming and tomorrow is shaping up to be another powder day. Stayed tuned for another snow message video!
