Breckenridge: Your guide to the perfect Valentines Day

Valentines Day is something that is looked forward to by many, and dreaded by others. Either way, Breckenridge is the perfect place to spend Cupid’s holiday. If you are grasping for date ideas, follow these suggestions to make your Valentine’s Day truly memorable.
Start off your day on the slopes right with a hearty breakfast from Sevens at the base of Peak 7. Gaze out at the beautiful mountain vista as the Independence SuperChair starts to spin and the earliest of birds make their way out to the slopes for a day of skiing and snowboarding. Breakfast is served daily from 8am to 10am so take your skis or board with you as you jump on the gondola so you can simply walk out to the base area after this hearty meal.
After being whisked to the top of Independence SuperChair, head on over to take some laps in our alpine bowls for some close-quarters one-on-one time on the T-Bar. Just be sure to keep the distractions to a minimum, as you do not want to be the couple that falls off halfway up the T-Bar.
(Note to all you single ladies out there. The T-Bar is likely the best place on the mountain to pick up a Valentines date. While you are in the lift line, simply announce that you are “single”.)
After you two lovebirds have had a hard day on the mountain being chased down Six Senses by Cupid, relax with a double date happy hour at the Briar Rose on Lincoln Avenue off Main street in downtown Breckenridge where you can find half price on all small plates every Friday and Saturday from 4pm to 6pm.
Finally, wrap up a truly romantic day at a truly romantic mountain getaway with Starlight Dinners. Take a sleigh ride to Ten Mile Station up on Peak 9 where you can enjoy a warm and cozy gourmet dinner experience tucked away in the woods of Breckenridge. Operating every Thursday, Friday and Saturday night, Starlight Dinners is the perfect way to show your appreciation for that significant other. Reserve your table online or call 970.547.5740 today.
