February 2015: Beautiful day for fresh snow [video]
Breckenridge received nine inches of new snow yesterday, with the last bit of the storm falling after the mountain closed. Today, skiers and riders were greeted with fresh upper mountain lines, and some of the best groomed conditions of the season. The storm had completely cleared by morning, making for one of the most beautiful days so far this season.
Our snow message team started on the terrain below Vista Haus this morning. The perfect groomed carpet was ideal for ripping turns and warming up the legs. A quick ride up the Colorado Superchair brought us to the T-bar, were we dispersed to get shots on Horseshoe Bowl, as well as the North Bowl (which is lookers right of the T-bar). While the storm overnight had moved a lot of the powder around, it was still easy to find amazing lines in this terrain, with some big wind drifts littering the slopes.
The snow message team could hardly contain themselves skiing and riding such nice terrain, on such a gorgeous day. We want to give a shout out to Daniel Dunn and Dustin Farrenkopf, the cameramen featured in this video, for providing Breck and our fans consistently amazing photography and video.
