Breck got 29 inches of snow in 48 hours

Christmas came early to Breckenridge in a big way these past two days. 13 inches have fallen in the last 24 hours and after receiving 29 inches of snow in 48 hours, 6 Chair, T-Bar, and Kensho SuperChair open today with over 2 feet of fresh powder.
Our snow reporter, Nick Pease was up on 6 Chair first thing this morning to unwrap his early holiday gifts. Taking two runs down Adios, a run located on the skier’s left side of 6 Chair, was plenty to understand the magnitude with which Ullr had left us with snow. The powder under 6 Chair this morning was chest deep and caused face shots left and right.
The hike to terrain on Peak 9 also opened for the first time this season. We had a chance to take a quick hike up to the top of East Broadway run in the afternoon, where we made untouched, chest-deep powder turns down to the base of the infamous E Chair.
Breck Ski Patrol is clearing terrain for opening at an incredible rate and we hope to see the entire mountain very soon. Stay tuned as we continue to bring you terrain updates.
