Welcome to Breck

Peak 10 tomorrow, Breck is fully open [video]

Peak 10 opens tomorrow morning, marking the last of Breck’s five peaks to open for the season. Peak 10 will offer creamy groomed runs, as well as fresh powder off the north side of the summit, on trails like Spitfire, Corsair and everyone’s favorite, The Burn. The Breck video team spent most of their day on this trail and was graced with endless powder. Be sure to be at the Falcon SuperChair tomorrow for first tracks on some incredible terrain.

With all the new snow we’ve received, as well as an onslaught coming during Christmas, it seems that Santa has decided all the fine people of Breckenridge have avoided┬áthe naughty list this year. For more information on the promising holiday storm, visit our friend Joel Gratz, local snow forecaster on opensnow.com

Today we can also celebrate the new lift start time of 8:30am. This means longer days to shred, as well as quicker access to the powder. Along with this update, we are excited to report that both C &A Chairs will be open for the season. But wait, theres more. The Dew Tour’s SuperPipe is now open to the public. If you want to ride the same pipe as the legends did last week, head to the Freeway terrain park.

Finally, have an amazing Christmas here at Breck, or where ever you are this holiday season. Give the gift of a lifetime, and book a vacation at Breck today!

    • Hello Dick-
Thanks for the comments! Make sure to check out @BreckConditions on Twitter or set up alerts there to know if we’re having any mechanical issues anywhere that might cause a lift to be down at a given time. We don’t have lifts closed for any other reason besides safety, whether that is from wind or mechanical, so you wouldn’t want to be on that lift at that point anyway!
