Welcome to Breck

New snow at Breck

It is just ten days before Christmas, and the early Christmas presents just keep on coming!

After a week of beautiful weather for the 2014 Dew Tour Championships, the snow has started to fall again, and it is welcomed with open arms. After two consecutive days of snow, Breck received six inches of fresh snow in the last 24 hours and boy, were the powder hounds out this morning.

With 21 lifts turning, 88 runs open, and 1,441 acres of skiable terrain in operation, Breck is over 49% open.

Today’s run of the day took our snow reporter, Nick Pease, through the glades off the skier’s right of Pika. Pika, a black diamond run, can be accessed from the top of the T-Bar lift on Peak 8.

With all the light, fluffy snow we are fortunate to receive here at Breck, floating through open tree glades can quickly turn into a very surreal feeling, but don’t take our word for it. If you haven’t had the pleasure of open bowl powder skiing here at Breckenridge, it is about time to find out that feeling for yourself.

Tomorrow, Dec. 16, be sure to check out Seven’s on Peak 7 for a one of a kind beer dinner experience featuring food pairings with brands such as Stella, Hoegaarden, Leffe, and Goose Island. Call (970)-496-8910 to secure your spot for this incredible experience today!

Come ski powder with us, the mountain is calling.
