30 years of snowboarding at Breck [trailer]

This season marks the 30-year anniversary of snowboarding at Breckenridge Ski Resort. During this time, it has been amazing to watch the sport evolve, and in particular see how Breck has played such an important role in the process.

This year, we will be meeting up with some of the most influential snowboarders to call Breckenridge home, and talking with them about their experiences. This full documentary video will drop in 2015 and will include archive footage, exclusive interviews with past and current pros, as well as a look into the future of snowboarding. Stay tuned.

This trailer features snowboarding fixtures from all walks of life including (in order of appearance) Jeff Meyer, former Breck pro team rider; Butch Peel, veteran ski patroller; Lesley Mckenna, Team Great Britain coach; DJ DC, local event announcer and snowboarder; Chad Otterstrom, former Breck pro team rider; and finally a vintage interview with local legend and olympian, JJ Thomas. The full documentary will feature many more interviewees, and will highlight some of the funniest and most exciting moments in Breck snowboarding history.

In the meantime, don’t miss any of the exciting action at this year’s Dew Tour. Pro snowboarders and skiers alike will compete on our world-class terrain park in both half pipe and slopestyle events. Watch the competition on NBC, or come view the events live while you hit the slopes yourself.
