Welcome to Breck

Peak 9 opens with 12 inches of fresh snow

Nov 26 - 12" and Peak 9 opens

Thanks to the amazing snow over the past week, Breckenridge Ski Resort was able to open Peak 9 for the 2014-15 season! We woke up this morning to 12 new inches of fresh snow in the last 24 hours, bringing our 7-day total to 33 inches. Breck has already received 210% of its average snow total at this time in November… thanks Ullr! We’ve got a feeling that this season is going to be one to remember.

The Beaver Run and Mercury SuperChairs started turning at 9am this morning, and guests found fresh tracks all over the mountain. For our “Run of the Day” today, we decided to take laps through the trees on the “Goodbye Girl” run.  Each time down, we found fresh pockets of untouched powder and a smile on our face a mile-wide. Over the long holiday weekend we expect amazing conditions on the mountain, so make sure to head to Breck as soon as possible and enjoy fresh pow in between servings of turkey.

Stay tuned to the Terrain Status page as more terrain opens for the season, and follow us on Facebook or Twitter for up to date news. Thanks to a great start, more terrain is expected to open in the coming days.

Have a happy Thanksgiving!
