Welcome to Breck

Spotlight on: Overlook on Peak 9 — Breck’s newest restaurant

After a bluebird morning of skiing 7 inches of fresh powder, you’re smiling but need a boost to keep charging. You’re hankering for something warm and delicious to fuel your burning quads and keep lapping until last chair. Stop by the all-new Overlook Restaurant at Peak 9 for an energizing meal and breathtaking views.

Located at the top of Peak 9, at 11,274 feet, the Overlook boasts “the highest altitude of any dining establishment in Breckenridge,” says General Manager Darrell Walsh. The once privately owned restaurant has been totally revamped for the 2014/15 season.

Proudly serving a new “American comfort food” menu, the new restaurant features many locally sourced Colorado items, such as the elk brat or bison short rib sandwich. Don’t miss the Chef’s specialty, a homemade roast turkey and harvest vegetable potpie with a flaky pastry crust. Overlook Pot Pie

The lodge retains many of the charming mom-and-pop vibes you loved, but has been updated to include additional seating on an open floor plan that lets in more of that Colorado sunshine and shows off the magnificent views Breckenridge has to offer. When the weather turns warmer, find a seat on the sun-drenched deck and enjoy a refreshing beer at the outside bar. Forget your Chapstick or need more sunscreen? Mountain necessities are available for purchase inside.

The grand opening is planned for the end of November, weather permitting. Stop by to warm your fingers, grab a quick snack or spend some time feasting on a hearty meal while taking in the surrounding vistas to the east, south and west.

  1. Will we still get our senior discount?

    • Hey Moreen- We will check for you, but we’ll likely have the same discounts available at the Overlook as we do at all our restaurants.
