Best Breck activities besides skiing

People generally come to Breckenridge for the slopes, but what they don’t know is that Breckenridge has so much else to offer. With some of the best dining options, world class shopping and a variety of activities, Breckenridge is a top winter destination for everyone. I’ve picked out a few of my favorite activities to do in Breck when I’m not skiing to share with you!
Apres Ski, Happy Hour:
Next to skiing, my favorite activity is apres ski, also known as happy hour. You don’t need to go skiing all day either to come back and enjoy cheap drinks and food at some of Breck’s best local hangouts. Mi Casa my be my favorite restaurant for happy hour- can’t beat $1 tacos and cheap drinks.
Ice Skating:
If skiing isn’t your thing, maybe ice skating is. The Steven C. Ice Arena in Breckenridge has public skate times where you can zip around on the ice, and even some public hockey times as well. Not only is it fun to just skate around, it makes for a great date night.
Breck Rec Center:
The Breck Rec is where I spend a majority of my freetime. It is full of fun things to do- they’ve got basketball courts, a swimming pool, hot tubs, tennis courts, a rock climbing gym, and a variety of workout equipment. Get your swell on and get your tub on. This place is great for everyone.
Shopping:
Breckenridge’s main street is full of shops. From souvenir shops to art galleries and sports stores, you can find anything you need here. If you’re looking for skiing equipment, check out Slopestyle on Mainstreet- I shop here for clothes and extra ski gear when I need it. They also do ski tuning and demos!
Enjoy your time in Breckenridge, and remember, there’s always something to do whether or not you’re skiing!
