Breckenridge on track for record month of snowfall
With eight inches of new snow overnight, the mountain terrain at Breckenridge is 100 percent open for skiers and riders to enjoy! Guests have access to 2,908 acres of skiable terrain across all five peaks, from beginner to extreme terrain, along with the brand new high-alpine hike to terrain on Peak 6. Breck has received more than seven feet of snow so far this month, and with two feet of new snow in the forecast this week, January 2014 could prove to be a record month for snowfall in Breck!
First Track’s for Broncos fans on Sunday
To celebrate January’s snowfall and the Denver Broncos’ big game this Sunday, Breck officials are offering an exclusive first tracks opportunity for skiers and riders decked out in Broncos gear on Sunday, Feb. 2. Any guest clearly wearing orange and blue will be able to access the mountain at 7:30 a.m. – one hour before it opens to the general public via the Beaver Run SuperChair on Peak 9. This will be the only chair open for first tracks. Guests who wish to cheer on the powder and Colorado’s home team must hold a valid Breck lift ticket or season pass to access the chairlift. For guests who do not have a lift ticket the morning of, head to the Beaver Run ticket office which will open early this Sunday.
