What Fans Can Expect at the Dew Tour Mountain Championships

The Dew Tour is back! Returning to Breck from December 12-15, the Dew Tour iON Mountain Championships brings fans a first person view of the top athletes in snowboarding and freeski slopestyle and superpipe. Shaun White, Louie Vito, Elena Hight, Simon Dumont, Torin Yater-Wallace, Nick Goepper, Eric Willett and more are expected to bring their best to Breck. For the first time in Dew Tour history, the iON Mountain Championships will serve as the first of five USSA Olympic selection events for the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi. Fans can expect to see high difficulty tricks and technical lines as the athletes compete to begin their journey to SOCHI 2014. In between competition viewings spectators can head to the Dew Tour Experience to interact with Dew Tour partners, meet athletes and tons more.

Thursday night Dew Tour will host Recognize: Film, celebrating the lifestyle of action sports culture through exclusive short-edit films. From 7:30-9:30 pm at the Riverwalk, fans can enjoy hearing from influential snowboard and freeski athletes and videographers as they showcase their films. Admission is $5 and benefits a great cause in SOS Outreach. Friday night will present fans with a chance to see some of the action up close and personal during the Nike Snowboarding Streetstyle competition. The course will take over Washington Ave. and incorporate various street elements such as rails, stairs and more. On Saturday night, Dew Tour will bring Fitz and the Tantrums to the Riverwalk for a live concert featuring a special guest. Tickets are only $25 and can be purchased at DewTour.com.

The weekend is sure to be action packed and is not one to miss! If you can’t make the tour in person you can catch it on NBC and NBCSN. Coverage starts Saturday, December 14 at Noon ET on NBC and continues through the weekend on NBC and NBCSN.
