Inside the Creation of Peak 6, Part 3: Flying the Towers [video]
We’re busy putting the finishing touches on the lifts on Peak 6! In this third episode of our all-GoPro behind the scenes series, check out what Breck and Lietner-Poma have been up to on the newest terrain at Breck.
Our team uses a Vietnam-era Huey helicopter to pour the concrete tower bases. With the bases set, the crew then uses a K-Max logging helicopter to drop in the lower Zendo Chair towers themselves. This month, and as we speak, the crew is placing the final towers for the Kensho SuperChair with their Sky Crane, a heavy-payload helicopter.
