Top 7 new happenings at Breck this year

A new season means new adventures at Breck. Here is a look at the top new things happening this year around the town and at Breckenridge Resort.
- Peak 6
One of the “most notable ski area enhancements in the past decade,” argues Rob Katz, chairman and CEO of Vail Resorts. The Peak 6 expansion features 543 additional acres of high-alpine, intermediate bowl skiing, 10 new trails and 2 new chairlifts. This 23% increase in skiable terrain opens up some of the best skiing on the Ten Mile Range. - New resorts
Have Epic Pass – will travel! The Epic Pass not only gets you access to some of the top resorts in the country, but now it works across seas! Enjoy unlimited access to Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge, Keystone, Canyons, Heavenly, Northstar, Kirkwood, Afton Alps, Mt. Brighton, Arapahoe Basin, and Eldora. In addition, if you find yourself around the world, enjoy 5 days at each Verbier, Switzerland; Arlberg, Austria; and Les 3 Vallées in France. - EpicMix Academy
New for the season is the integration of Ski & Snowboard School with EpicMix. Track your progress and accomplishments on your personal dashboard. Ski instructors will be able to grade you and your children’s progress using the innovative app and you can earn pins and share achievements on Facebook! - New pins
With names like “Animal Style,” “Six Shooter,” and “Party Crasher,” a handful of new EpicMix pins will make their debut this year. Stay tuned to learn how to earn them. - New boutiques
If you enjoy world-class shopping as much as you enjoy world-class skiing, you’re in luck. A vast number of new boutiques now call Main Street in Breckenridge home. Looking for a sassy new top, jewelry or a unique piece of home décor, try Ruby Jane. The Mountain Goat is another new shop in town that will outfit you for the mountain or for a night on the town. Beloved is also new in town with designer boots, tops, and other unique finds. - New restaurants
The Flatbread Pizza Company will fuel any adventure in Breckenridge with homemade wood fired pizza. If you’re in the mood for good tacos and margaritas, check out Oscars, the new spot to be off Main Street. - New bars
The Mine is a new bar located under Extreme Pizza. This mellow, hole-in-the-wall bar is the perfect place to enjoy a cold beer and play a board game, check out the Mine. If you’re at the south end of town, try Hero for a cheap drink and a great sandwich.
