Top 5 reasons to stay at the DoubleTree Hilton in Breck

Formerly the Great Divide Lodge, The DoubleTree by Hilton Breckenridge has undergone massive renovations to become one of the best places to stay in Breck. I absolutely loved my stay there, and here’s why you would too.
Update: The DoubleTree at Breck is now offering great rates on 3 or more night stays with rooms starting at $149/night. Book your spring stay starting March 10.
1. Location
Directly across the street from the Beaver Run Parking lot, you can easily walk out the front door of the hotel, cross the street and hop on the Beaver Run chair or ski down to the Quicksilver Chair. It’s also just a short walk down to Main Street. The best of both worlds!
2. Treats!
In today’s world of transparency and online reviews, most hotels provide a pretty good product, so it’s the little things that can turn a good experience into a great one. And the way to my heart is with sweets. Check in.. get a cookie. Walk through the lobby… get a cookie. Come in off the slopes … get a warm walnut chocolate chip cookie. Mmmm.
And if that’s not enough sugar, hit the deck every Friday and Saturday from 5pm – 6pm and roast s‘mores over two fire pits and drink some hot chocolate to keep you warm. If it’s snowing, you’ll feel like you’re on the cover of a Hallmark greeting card.
3. Service
There is nothing better than great service, and the DoubleTree has no shortage of friendly and attentive employees. The wait staff was bending over backwards for me at breakfast and everyone at the front desk was so friendly and helpful. Take the DoubleTree shuttle anywhere in town and when they pick you up later it’s like a family member coming to get you.
So nice!
4. The 9600 Grill
The 9600 Grill is one of Breckenridge’s more underrated restaurants and I’m a big fan. I’ve had the egg white omelet, grilled shrimp Cesar salad, Club Sandwich, Burgers and Flatbread and they were all great. They also do fun menus for events and occasions like Valentine’s Day and the Superbowl. And for spring break, they’re featuring a $10 beer, burger and fries deal from 11:30 – 2pm starting March 9!
5. The Hilton Brand
While the Hilton brand might not mean a lot to some people, if you’ve been racking up Hilton points it means a lot to you! It’s great to have a place you can stay in Breckenridge with points. And Hilton did a great job with their renovations, converting this into one of the most contemporary (i.e. there will not be any antler decorations in your room) and comfortable places to stay in Breck.
