After a brief hiatus, the snow is back. Monday morning the snow began falling and we have received 5 inches in the past 24 hours. This morning the sun showed itself and let us take in all the white that had been laid down. Even a few moose wanted to see how much snow had fallen.

Last week marked the first contest of the season at Breck, The Hartford Ski Spectacular. Athletes with various disabilities competed in ski, snowboard and monoski races. Personally, this was one of the best events I have watched. The comradery with each other and their passion for the mountains is something we should all aspire to. Even though the event is over if you want to learn about the Hartford Ski Spectacular check here.
The next contest of the season in the Dew Tour which begins on Thursday, Dec 8th and runs through Sunday, Dec 11th. The competition get under way Friday morning with Slopestyle Jump on Freeway Terrain Park followed the Adaptive banked course on Springmeier. There will be plenty of events for the whole family during the Dew Tour from the contest itself to live music. The Transworld Snowboarding Riders Poll and Powder Awards will also be held in conjunction with the Dew Tour for the first time.
