Local Spotlight – Keri Herman [video]

In the Local Spotlight series, we take a look at the people that make up Breckenridge. We explore both how the town has shaped their lives, and how they have contributed to the atmosphere of the town.

In this Episode we talk to Keri Herman; Breck pro athlete, World Cup Champion and Olympic Athlete. Keri was born in Minnesota, and vacationed in Breck as a kid. After attending college in the front range, Keri moved to Breck and devoted herself to freestlye skiing.

Keri has since made quite a name for herself, grabbing first place in numerous competitions, and most recently representing the United States in the Sochi Olympics. Even though she’s traveled the world, Keri still finds herself living in Breck.

She says Breck, in her mind, is the perfect mountain town. Along with a world-class mountain and park, the town boasts endless opportunities to get out and do the things Keri loves. Most of all Keri stays for the people. She says Breck’s vibe is one of the best she’s felt in a mountain town.

Check out the video to hear it from Keri herself. She’ll tell you a bit about skiing this past winter, and you’ll get the inside scoop on some of the most fun activities in town.
